84 years ago, on October 30, 1938, an up-and-coming star named Orson Welles made history with his "War of the Worlds" broadcast. This radio adaptation of H. G. Wells' sci-fi novel of the same name envisioned a Martian invasion of the planet earth. The aliens' landing site? The historic community of Grovers Mill, right here in West Windsor - and now they're coming back!
Join us on October 30 from 4-7PM as we and the West Windsor Arts Council celebrate the early stages of a year-long community sculpture project - the "mArtian Project" - that will welcome our friendly alien mascot to town! The location: the historic Schenck Farmstead/West Windsor History Museum at 50 Southfield Road (right across the road from the Cranbury Golf Club)!
