REVOLUTION WEST WINDSOR

West Windsor celebrates America's 250th

RWW Logo Contest

Picture
Congratulations to  Kashvi Jaitley, a West Windsor middle school student, for winning the Revolution West Windsor logo contest! Her design, which will be featured around town until late 2026 as part of the "Revolution West Windsor" initiative, depicts significant elements of local Revolutionary history:
  1. A capture of British troops in town, on December 30, 1776. These soldiers divulged information that helped the patriot army triumph at the Battle of Assunpink Creek (Jan. 2) and the Battle of Princeton (Jan. 3) – two battles of the legendary “Ten Crucial Days” that saved the American cause during the darkest hours of the war.
  2. The midnight march of George Washingon’s army on Jan. 3, 1777, from Trenton to Princeton. They marched through West Windsor to capture Princeton by surprise! Their 13-mile march, through the cold and dead of winter, passed through West Windsor. F
  3. The few dozen local soldiers who fought to form a new nation.
  4. The many women who played a role – because the Revolution wasn’t solely - from nurses to cooks, influencers to fundraisers, and even soldiers and spies in disguise!
  5. And, of course, the old Red, white, and blue!

There’s a lot more planned for “Revolution West Windsor.” For more info, click the button below. And scroll down to see the other Revolution West Windsor Logo Contest submissions!
