Martian Bike Ride 2022
On October 30, 1938, a rising star named Orson Welles made history with his "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast. This fake "news bulletin" depicted a Martian invasion of the planet Earth, reputedly causing nationwide panic. The aliens' landing site? The historic community of Grovers Mill, right here in West Windsor! Ride into the past with the Historical Society of West Windsor and West Windsor Bicycle & Pedestrian Alliance as we explore this history and related local points of interest. This is part of West Windsor's year-long 225th birthday celebrations!
Note: This 7-mile ride will start at 10AM at the McCaffery's shopping complex on Southfield Road/Princeton-Hightstown Road. It is intended for cyclists 12 years old and up (minors must be accompanied by an adult). We will be riding as a group. Helmets are required. Come early to decorate your bike/helmet. Alien-themed costumes/clothing encouraged!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE RIDE. HOWEVER, WE HAVE REACHED CAPACITY.
