Next year, the United States of America will mark its 250th birthday. Towns and cities across the country will commemorate this unique milestone. Here in West Windsor, we can take pride in knowing that the American Revolution is also an important part of our local history. General Washington’s army marched through town on the way to a crucial victory in Princeton. Neighbors took sides — some as patriots, others as loyalists — often at great personal cost. Remnants of this pivotal era are still visible in our community, especially at the mid-1700s West Windsor History Museum. This anniversary is a great opportunity to bring these stories to light and to deepen our community’s connection to its past.
The Historical Society of West Windsor is leading Revolution West Windsor — a two-year, community-wide effort to commemorate our town’s role in the American Revolution. We have ambitious plans to make our shared history come alive. But we can’t do it alone! Will you consider making a gift to our Summer Fundraiser?
